Jacqueline Toney Selected for 2023-24 NACUBO Emerging Leaders Program

The Office of Research is pleased to announce that Jacqueline Toney, director of Finance and Administration, has been selected by the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) for the 2023–24 Emerging Leaders Program.

Jacqueline, who has been with UTHSC for nine years, has over twenty years of human resources management and budget and finance administration experience. She is one of 73 business officers across the country accepted into the program, which is designed for mid-level managers who want to advance their careers in higher education business and finance. Through April 2024, the group will work to enhance their leadership skills, examine business models and financial communications strategies, and build their professional network.

“We are so glad to have these promising leaders in the program and look forward to their continued engagement with NACUBO and their leadership on campus,” said Kara D. Freeman, NACUBO president and CEO.

NACUBO is a nonprofit professional organization representing chief administrative and financial officers at more than 1,700 colleges and universities across the country. NACUBO works to advance the economic vitality, business practices, and support of higher education institutions in pursuit of their missions. UTHSC is a member of NACUBO.
